What's New?We’re taking a detour from Montana for the next MacFarland Ranch story—and this time, we’re heading to Crete.
The Best Thing He Never Wanted is Blane and Bea’s story. Blane has spent his whole life knowing exactly what he doesn’t want. A wife. A home. Someone waiting for him. Any of the things his friends seem so determined to settle into. Bea has spent most of hers being sensible. Widowed after a long marriage that was more reasonable than romantic, she’s finally learning what it means to make choices simply because they’re hers to make. When these two keep crossing paths during a weekend in London, what begins as an unexpected friendship starts to feel a little more complicated than either of them intended. By the time an almost-kiss leaves them both wondering what might have happened next, Blane is supposed to be heading home to Montana. Instead, he somehow ends up in Crete as Bea’s “extra pair of hands.” And somewhere between morning walks, driving lessons, meals cooked together, and rattling around Crete in a battered little rental car, temporary starts to look suspiciously like a life. Which leaves Blane facing the one thing he never planned for—wanting to stay. This is a warm, later-in-life romance about freedom, friendship, starting again, and two people who weren’t looking for a new life discovering they may already have found one. Welcome
I have some exciting news to share with you!
I now have my very own store! It will be a work in progress and I will be adding paperbacks over time, but for now, you can buy your ebooks directly from me and still get them delivered to your usual device! Check it out here - and just to tempt you, when you buy ebooks direct you'll get a discount. There are some fun T-shirts and mugs and other things over there, too. Take a look! Hi there and welcome to my little corner of the web. You've come to the right place for news and information about Summer Lake and Remington Ranch and all my other series - check out the BOOKS page :0) And if you want to see ALL the books in one place check out the Reading Order page where you'll find a list of all the books in the order I wrote them. I try to make sure that each series - and most of the books can stand alone, but some characters like to wander. It seems that they all know each other or are related in one way or another, so if you like to go in chronological order check that list - and don't worry if you prefer to stick with one series at a time - you won't be missing out. Have a read around. I'll try to post to the blog with any exciting news. No promises though, I wasn't cut out to be a blogger. I do send email when new books come out, so sign up for the newsletter if you want to know about new releases. Please take a look around, come join me on social media if that's your thing, or feel free to email me if you prefer. I love to hear from readers and do my best to reply as soon as I can. Thanks for stopping by. SJ oxo |
