​I've decided that I really need to restart the blog so people who dont get the Newsletter can get some updates and rather than reinvent the wheel, for now, Im going to post the main part of the Newsletter here.

Well, Blane and Bea are officially out in the world, and I'm very happy to say that the early reactions have been lovely. Thank you so much to everyone who's already read The Best Thing He Never Wanted, left a review, or sent me a message about them.

This book was a little bit of a detour from the usual MacFarland Ranch books. We started in London, disappeared off to Crete for a while, and only eventually found our way back to Montana.

I loved writing somewhere different for a change. After living in Montana for so long, I've spent an awful lot of time writing about places I know extremely well, so there was something really fun about putting Blane and Bea into places I'd actually visited much more recently.

And, of course, the detour caused trouble. 😂

Blane's sister Brooke has been hanging around in the background waiting for her own story for a long time, and you may have already noticed that Brody is the man for her.

Their book won't be another MacFarland Ranch book, though—they’re going to kick off a new series.

If you've been reading the MacFarland books, you've already met the men who'll be at the heart of it. Brody and his brothers, Brad, Boone, Banner, and Brooks, were all raised by Jim Sheridan and his wife Kitty on the biggest ranch in Paradise Valley.

They’ve all appeared as secondary characters in MacFarland Ranch, but now they want books of their own. So it's happening! 

They are all coming together to launch a brand-new spin-off series: Kitty's Creek Ranch.

Brody and Brooke will go first in The Wrong Kind of Timing.

And before you worry that this might mean we're done with the MacFarlands — absolutely not. 😂

Mav and Libby are still waiting for me, and Mav remains convinced that their lifetime of history requires two books. Naturally, Cash is adamant that if Mav gets two books, then he needs at least two as well. That argument is still ongoing. I’ll let them fight it out between them and then do as I’m told — I’m just the writer after all!

But for all that talk of ranches, we’re taking a visit to Napa before we head back to Montana again.

I'm currently writing the next book in The Hamiltons, and Elliott and Delaney finally get their turn next.

If you've been reading the series, you may remember that little Zia has already made her opinion of Elliott perfectly clear. She calls him Prince Skye and adores him. Delaney, however, has not received quite such glowing treatment. So far, Zia has christened her Lady Brambles — because she’s prickly!

I'm only just getting properly back into their world this week, rereading where they've appeared before and figuring out exactly how their story fits together, but I'm already having fun with them.

Their book is Tequila & Tulips, The Hamiltons book 13, and I'll tell you more as they start sharing their story with me.

I can't believe that Tell the Stars to Shine is the sixth book in the 'new' Summer Lake Seasons series. After six books, it's not exactly new anymore, is it?!

It's funny though, Austin has appeared in many of the books right since the beginning - and that's almost seven years ago now! I was so happy to finally tell his story. He's such a nice guy, and Amber is perfect for him.

I think I know what I'm doing for the rest of the year - unless some other characters manage to elbow their way to the front of the line and change my mind. It's time for another giveaway and this time I'd like to know which Summer Lake Silver cover you like best. I love them ALL, so I guess I have to say that that's a valid answer for you, too.

I'm so thrilled at how well these "later-in-life" romances have been received. I had so many of the older characters wanting me to tell their stories, but I still had this "rule" in my head that romance novels only featured couples in their thirties - at the oldest.

I'm so glad I broke the "rule". Apparently, that's long been a talent of mine ;0)

I'm still plugging away trying to get the hang of my dictation software. It's getting better - maybe that should be I'm getting better, getting the hang of it. The program is called Dragon and it's very clever, really. I'd go as far as to say I'm making friends with my Dragon now and it's about time he had a name.
